Her room was nice, but I had not been in it for a long time. It was a beautiful place, but as far as the care went, it was terrible. My mom was always dirty, her hair was a mess, and it was terrible. There were not enough staff to care for the people. My mother had a lump in her face for weeks, and the doctor never called me about it. The staff was good, but there was no communication with the doctor. The residents gather in the main lobby/atrium area of the building daily for conversations, bingo, coffee, games, music and various activities. It is warm and welcoming and our food is delicious. If you had been able to have the full experience, you would have loved our Main Dining Room, The Allegheny Room. We follow CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines and unfortunately, we are not permitted to tour through the entire building yet. Provider Response I am very sorry that you were not able to tour the entire building and experience the genuine warmth and caring that our staff show to our residents. The staff did do a follow-up call, but from our perspective, the place was just too big and too open, and it just seemed like it was still a big hotel for us. I can't say a lot about it because from the front of the place, we were walked to the room, and that was it. The place is just a big open area because it used to be a big hotel, and they have left it pretty much the way it was and utilized the rooms for the residents, but I wasn't really impressed with it. I didn't feel like it was home or anything. It wasn't what we were looking for, so I wasn't really into it. We were only taken to this one room to show us what it might look like, and we weren't taken any further or shown anything else. It used to be a big hotel, and it just wasn't what we were looking for due to the way it was set up. We went to Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident It was a hotel, so it had a huge courtyard. It started out good, but I don't know what happened in the end. When she came in last year, they did some nice things like rock painting and different arts and crafts, but it just went downhill through the year. So, I would say they're understaffed and have no communication. A couple of times, I talked to one of the staff, and she said she was the only one there for both floors, so obviously you can't do anything with just one person there. She said the food was good, and they did have activities when they had enough staff to do them. Sometimes there was only one aide for two floors. I just knew they didn't have enough staff to care for the people. It was big, and it was nice, but I don't know how they kept it. Sherry My mother was at Tapestry Senior Living. Kathy We went to Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township.
